Peasant Research and Training Center — CECIC in Spanish
It is DESCOSUR main experimentation, training, and transfer center for technology. It is installed from September 1987 on the land called Linde, located on the limits of the Ichupampa and Lari districts, on the right bank of the Colca Valley, 21 kilometers away from Chivay.

Toccra Alpaca breeding Development Center — CEDAT in Spanish
It is a breeding and production center for domestic South American camelids. It constitutes an important place for research, experimentation, and technology transfer. It was created in 1996 to support the projects we carry out and mainly to develop a program for the genetic improvement of alpacas.
It has herds of alpacas and llamas, in which the management and genetic improvement proposals that we develop are applied. Our proposals for the conservation and management of natural resources (water and pastures) also apply in this space. It is located two hours from the city of Arequipa at an altitude of 4,400 meters above sea level in the Tocra annex, Yanque district, Caylloma province, Arequipa department.
